Karate School Owner Promoted
Jack Morris, owner and chief instructor of the Florida Karate Center, was honored last Saturday, June 19th, 2010 with a promotion in both karate & jiu-jitsu. Mr. Morris advanced to the level of 6th degree black belt in Wado-Ryu Karate and 5th degree black belt in Shintoyoshinkai Jiu-Jitsu. The honors were bestowed upon him by his jiu-jitsu instructor, Hanshi Steven Roensch, founder & director of the American Budokai International and a 9th degree black belt in Shintoyoshinkai Jiu-Jitsu and Soke John Suarez, Grandmaster & 10th degree black belt in Wado-Ryu Karate. Mr. Suarez is also the president of American Martial Arts Renmei, Inc.
Mr. Morris has also awarded the title of Shihan, an honorary title used in recognition of his high proficiency in the martial arts. Shihan Morris along with his wife, Renshi Pam Morris, have been operating their full time martial arts facility since 1988. Now Accepting Summer Camp Applications
The Florida Karate Center is now accepting Summer Camp Applications. Nine weeks beginning 6/14/2010 through 8/20/2010. Participants can pick and choose the weeks they wish to participate. Camp includes:
- 3 field trips per week
- martial arts instruction daily
- lots of fitness activities included to help build strong bodies, mind and spirit

Tai Chi Classes Now Available
The Florida Karate Center is pleased to announce the addition of Tai Chi classes every Tuesday and Thursday at 9:00am, and Saturday on the beautiful Naples Beach at 5:00pm. Classes are taught by Luzbel Borges. For more information, please contact the Florida Karate Center ag 239-254-0060.
